"KVITKA. A song in reality and in dreams". She sang with her heart, and her voice was like a violin floating through time... The story of the legendary Kvitka Tsysyk, a woman who not only enchanted the world with her unique voice, but also fought bravely for every day of her life. Her love of music, family and the distant Ukraine became her inspiration and strength.

"KVITKA. A song in reality and in dreams"

She sang with her heart, and her voice was like a violin floating through time...

The story of the legendary Kvitka Tsysyk, a woman who not only enchanted the world with her unique voice, but also fought bravely for every day of her life. Her love for music, family and the distant Ukraine became her inspiration and strength.

KVITKA! has awakened in us a true love for Ukrainian song.
KVITKA! brought us joy, sadness, memories of our childhood and our love for Ukraine.
KVITKA! has touched the hearts and souls of Ukrainians all over the world."

The play tells the story of the time when Kvitka began recording a famous record of Ukrainian songs, into which she put all her love and great affection for Ukraine.

The events surrounding the singer's battle with an incurable illness lend the play a special dramatic quality. The doctors promise that she only has three months to live, and KVITKA is in a hurry to complete the work into which she has poured her whole soul...

The play premiered at the theater in Vinnytsia on April 4, 2018, the day of her 65th birthday.

Information about the theater

Academic Music and Drama State Theater named after M.K. Sadovsky in Vinnytsia is the largest art institution in the Vinnytsia region. The theater was built in 1910 by the architect Hryhorii Artynov in the modern style.

It has been in operation as a music and drama theater since 1940. In 1957, the theater was named after the famous Ukrainian personality Mykola Sadovskyi. The theater has a large and a small stage for audiences of all ages, on which performances of various genres are shown. Around 250 performances take place every year, which are attended by more than 60,000 spectators.
