Hans Zimmer is a German film composer who became famous for the cult film Rain Man. "When I was composing the score for Rain Man, I always thought: Don't try to drown out the characters. Stay away from the foreground. Raymond, the main character, doesn't really understand where he is. He sees the world differently than we do. Why not create "world music” for a world that exists only in his head? - Hans recalls. This work became a real breakthrough in his career - Zimmer was nominated for an Oscar. Hollywood's top directors lined up to work with him. And Hans completely abandoned his work, often composing musical themes for two or three films at the same time. His music impressed Disney studios so much that they commissioned Zimmer to score the animated film The Lion King. The musical theme for the film brought him three prestigious awards - Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy. Since then, Zimmer has won numerous awards and become one of the best in Hollywood. No Oscar ceremony is complete without a Zimmer nomination.
