James Blunt is a name that has come to symbolise popular music, starting with his absolute hit 'You're Beautiful' in 2005. This British singer-songwriter has made an incredible journey from military service to the top of the music charts. James Blunt, whose real name is James Hillier Blount, began his musical journey not from a musical family, but in the British Army, following the family tradition. But the passion for music proved to be stronger. He started playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager. After school he even studied aerospace engineering, but soon realised that his true calling was in music. After completing his military service, he decided to pursue his musical dream.

During his service in Kosovo in 1999, James always carried his guitar which he attached to his armoured car, it was on this guitar that he composed the moving song "No Bravery" inspired by the horrors of war. This song was later included on his debut album "Back to Bedlam". In 2002 James decided to end his military career and devote himself entirely to music. Fate brings him together with Linda Perry, a former member of "4 Non Blondes" and a successful music producer. This meeting was the starting point for his music career and he signed with Perry's label, after which he recorded the album "Back to Bedlam" with producer Tom Rothrock.

This album topped the charts in many countries, including Germany and the UK, and won many awards. And it wasn't just Sir Elton John who was enamoured with James Blunt. The song "You're Beautiful" played an important role in the success of the album, but other songs such as "High" and "Goodbye Lover," also won the hearts of listeners. James Blunt proved that he was capable of creating more than just super hits with the introduction of "1973" on the multi-platinum album "All the Lost Souls."

Since then, James has released several successful albums including "Some Kind of Trouble", "Moon Landing" and "The Afterlove" which topped charts around the world.
