Event description

Participate:

September 2026 will welcome Boris Grebenshchikov to Germany. This time only three concerts are planned: September 11 - in Hamburg (Docks Club), September 13 - in Cologne (Carlswerk Victoria) and September 15 - in Stuttgart. Chamber venues, live sound and an attentive audience - a format in which such performances sound especially vivid.

Grebenshchikov's concert is based on simple things: voice, text, pause. Everything goes without overload and unnecessary effects. BG's concerts are usually quiet, but they hook deeply due to intonation and mood. Such performances are rarely large and mass. That's why tickets for Grebenshchikov's concert are sold out quickly.

How the poetry of Soviet rock becomes a living dialog in the era of digital rebellion

Boris Grebenshchikov's songs are not bound to one time. There is no "narrow context" in them. They are more about the state, the search for oneself, things that are understandable here and now. That's why they are listened to by those who grew up on these songs and who discovered them recently.

In the age of digitalization, these lyrics also live on the Internet: they are quoted, parsed into lines, turned into memes, discussed. Everyone hears something different, and in this sense they live beyond the stage.

At the concert it is felt especially: there is no sense of "the right meaning". There is a lively conversation between the music, the words and the audience.

What Boris Grebenshchikov has prepared for September 2026: from "No One Writes to the Colonel" to AI-arrangements

The program will feature epochal hits: "Nobody Writes to the Colonel", "City of Gold", "Train on Fire", "Glasses". These songs sound different from the usual versions: somewhere simpler, somewhere quieter, with an emphasis on the lyrics.

New shades are added: lighter arrangements, quieter transitions, and sometimes unexpected sound solutions - without harsh effects, but with attention to details. Grebenshchikov's concert in Germany this time is more about sound that is in no hurry.
