"Sladkii Son" (Sladkii Son) is a popular Russian group performing in the genre of disco, which gave us such immortal hits as "On the white blanket of January", "Scarlet Roses", "May Zori" and others. Since the early 90's the band gathered full concert halls, whole armies of fans and toured to all corners of Russia and CIS countries. They conquered listeners with their sincerity and heartfelt lyrics, beautiful vocals and soulful lyrics. Today their creativity has not lost its popularity: they are invited guests at various events, give concerts, participate in TV programs and continue to please Russians who are nostalgic for their youth.
History of creation
In the late 80's, the famous producer Vladimir Maslov gathered a team of musicians and created his own band. The soloist was Alexey Svetlichny. Sergey Vasyuta and Oleg Khromov were also part of the original lineup. Under the name of the group "Bright Way", the participants began writing a tape album. In 1990, they released their debut record "Night February".
Soon after that, there was a scandal in the team, as a result of which Oleg Khromov left the group. Sergei Vasyuta took the place of the leader of the collective. Together with the producer, he continued to develop the project. Then they decided to change the name and start again. The choice stopped at "Sweet Dream". It did not have any deep subtext, the meaning was that only during sleep a person completely relaxes. They tried to give such feelings to people with their creativity.
In 1993 Mikhail Samoshin came to them. But they did not work in such a team for long - a year later the founder of the project and the leading vocalist had a quarrel. As a result of the scandal, Sergei Vasyuta declared himself the frontman of "Sweet Dream" and independently continued to perform. After that, a series of unpleasant events occurred in the history of the group.
Long proceedings
The biography of their collective is one of the most mysterious in Russian show business. After the departure of two members of the first composition, albums under the guise of "Sweet Dream" began to appear on the music market, but different soloists sang in them.
In one of the versions the voices of Oleg Khromov, Andrey Razin and Alexey Svetlichny were heard. In another - Mikhail Samoshin and Maslov's son Ruslan. The third version was recorded by Vasyuta.
For several years Vasyuta, Maslov and Khromov could not figure out who to sing under this title. A lot of questions also arose around the authorship of the songs. Each tried to appropriate the rights to the legendary hits.
The conflict could not be resolved peacefully. As a result of long legal proceedings, the only owner of the TM "Sweet Dream" and the author of most of the lyrics today is Sergei Vasyuta.
Musical career
Popularity to the collective came immediately after the release of the first album. "On the white blanket of January", "Night February", "Blizzard" and other songs sounded almost everywhere. While the artists were figuring things out, an army of fans had already formed among the listeners.
The group's first tour of Russian cities took place in 1991. Since then, they have not stopped traveling the country, periodically going on tours abroad.
When Sergei Vasyuta finally got the rights to the authorship and the name, he actively engaged in promoting the group and replenishing the discography. Just at that time, the popular band "Laskovy May" lost its former glory, and this vacated niche was successfully occupied by "Sweet Dream".
One after another new albums began to be released. After the appearance of records "Little Miracle" and "White Round Dance" the band went on a long tour of European countries. At the same time, the leader of the group was often invited to television. Vasyuta was a frequent guest in the programs "Sound Track", "Star Rain", "50x50".
He won special fame in Germany. He spent a lot of time there: he composed songs, performed, and even recorded a whole album "Concert in Germany".
In the piggy bank of his achievements there are several beautiful music videos, performances on the same stage with Swedish singer Bosson and disco band Bad Boys Blue. Several times because of too tight touring schedule he even had to hire a double to give two concerts at the same time.
Today, the musical project "Sweet Dream" continues to perform. Vasyuta is a welcome guest at any events of the format "Disco 80's" and concerts with music of that era. He always participates in festivals "Legends of Retro FM". Some sources flicker information that the band is preparing a surprise for its fans in the form of a new album.
