History

The history of the Rhein-Mosel-Halle begins in the post-war period. After the end of the Second World War, Koblenz, like many German cities, was in the process of reconstruction. The rapidly growing city urgently needed a multifunctional venue for public and cultural events.

Construction of the Rhein-Mosel-Halle began in 1958 and the grand opening took place in 1962. The building was originally conceived as an essential part of the city's cultural and business life. Since its opening, it has been used for various events, including conferences, congresses, theater performances and music concerts.

A comprehensive renovation was carried out in 2011-2012. The Rhein-Mosel-Halle was modernized to meet the current requirements and expectations of visitors. The modernized infrastructure and architectural solutions made it even more attractive for international events.

After the renovation, the Rhein-Mosel-Halle became one of the most modern congress centers in the Rhine-Moselle region, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a high level of comfort for participants.

Architecture and special features

The Rhein-Mosel-Halle building was designed to be multifunctional. It has several halls and conference rooms of different sizes and uses, making it possible to host both small and large events.

• The Great Hall can accommodate up to 1,400 people and is ideal for large concerts, theater performances and business conferences.
• Conference rooms and meeting rooms of various sizes ensure flexibility in the organization of events. A total of up to 3,000 participants can be accommodated at the same time.
• The foyer and exhibition areas provide space for exhibitions, receptions and exchanges between participants.

The building was designed to make the most of the surrounding landscape. The windows offer a panoramic view of the Rhine and give the hall a special elegance that offers visitors a unique atmosphere.
