Perhaps the New Year doesn’t begin when the clock strikes midnight. Perhaps it begins when we stop demanding that we become someone else and finally decide to get to know the person we’ve already become.

“Do Not Open Until New Year’s” is an ironic and poignant bachelorette party-themed play about female friendship, control, freedom, and the inner barriers for which there is sometimes no single key.

Here, the audience doesn’t just watch the story of Lika and Julie. They become the third friend—the one who listens to confessions, keeps secrets, and, when the moment calls for it, will propose a toast and offer a hug.
