The Dutch violinist and conductor Andre Rieu is about to embark on a major tour of Germany. The popular musician is once again ready to surprise and enchant the audience with his unusual style of performing famous works, his talent and his radiant smile. Don't miss it: an Andre Rieu concert is a real feast for music lovers, organized by a genius who dreams of making classical music accessible to all people. A must-see!

A classical music concert turned into a colorful show

He is called the king of the waltz! And not without reason: this music has acquired inimitable shades and colors in his performance. André Rieux has conquered the whole world with his virtuoso violin playing and unrivaled skill as a conductor. The instrument in his hands produces simply magical sounds, pure and soul-stirring.

For 30 years of his creative activity Rieux has sold more than 40 million disks, became the owner of 411 platinum and 171 gold records, topped the most prestigious charts 30 times, received three Brit Awards in the category "Album of the Year".

He gives about 100 concerts a year, gathering on them up to 700 thousand spectators. Together with his "Johann Strauss Orchestra", consisting of 50 musicians, he travels across five continents, delighting audiences in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, USA and Europe. His largest performance to date was in Melbourne, attended by over 38,000 people at one time.

His performances attract many people, because what he does on stage is very difficult to call a traditional classical concert. These are amazing shows with unique sets, incredible special effects and many surprises. An inimitable atmosphere is created by the orchestra itself, where all the women are dressed in gorgeous bright dresses. The team consists of young, energetic, in love with music people who put their soul into what they play. The Dutchman himself is charismatic and invariably charming. It is obvious that communication with the audience gives him pleasure. The audience is not indifferent either to his artistic talent or to the jokes that sound from the stage.

Even after the last number is announced, and a waterfall of colorful balloons is poured from above onto the audience as a sign of farewell, the audience is in no hurry to leave. The encore numbers can easily make up several more sections of the program. The spectators are simply infected with the atmosphere of the holiday - they smile, sing along, dance the waltz with enthusiasm. They are attracted not only by special effects and the unusualness of what is happening, the main thing is the music.

André Rieux prepares very carefully for each performance. The famous conductor does not limit himself only to waltzes, his concerts feature folk songs, popular melodies from movies, operettas and musicals, which have become masterpieces of world music. Absolute hits of his concerts are:

  • "The Second Waltz".
  • "Radetzky-Marsch"
  • "Strauss & Co."
  • "The Blue Danube."
  • "Boléro" by Maurice Ravel.
  • "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert
  • "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music.
  • "Hava Nagila"
  • "Amazing Grace"
  • "Ode an die Freude" (Joy, beautiful spark of God) from Beethoven's 9th symphony.

His music can be fun and inspiring, touching and melancholy, elegant and romantic. By the way, the instrument on which he performs his masterpieces is a 1732 Stradivarius violin. And unlike other conductors, the maestro conducts the orchestra while playing and facing the audience.

A massive tour of Germany

Having achieved unprecedented popularity, André Rieux continues to give concerts all over the world. The maestro's tour schedules are planned for several months in advance. Thus, the new tour will take place in more than 10 cities across Germany. Musicians will meet their fans in the best concert halls of the country. Tickets for the performances are already on sale, you can buy them directly on our website.
