Andrey Smolyakov (Andrey Smolyakov) gained widespread fame after the release of the series "Birthday Bourgeois", where he played the role of the villain Kudla. Today he is considered one of the most successful Russian actors. In his creative piggy bank collected dozens of roles on the theater stage and about 150 diverse works in the cinema.
Childhood and youth
The future actor was born in November 1958 in Podolsk near Moscow. All the boy's childhood was spent in the fire station, where his father served. The family lived in a house on the first floor of which was located garage for special machines. A favorite pastime for Andrew and other boys was to wait until the firefighters returned from an outing to wash the equipment with a fire hose.
Andrei lost his father very early, the man died of alcohol abuse. Further upbringing of the boy was engaged in his mother, a school teacher, and his grandfather, who was also a firefighter.
Andrew did not cause his relatives much trouble: he studied well, was engaged in sports, enthusiastically played volleyball and basketball. Among other things, he sang well and performed in an ensemble. Already at school age, the guy decided that he would become a neurosurgeon, and confidently went to his goal: he studied chemistry and biology intensively, was engaged in the circle of young physicians.
Everything changed when Smolyakov got a newspaper with a note about the recruitment in Shchukin theater school. Andrew decided to try. His mother long discouraged her son from this idea, then herself recorded him at the interview, being absolutely sure that he will not succeed. However, everything turned out differently: a tall blue-eyed blond with an athletic figure and a well-pitched voice made the most favorable impression on the interviewer Alla Kazantseva, and she announced that takes the guy to his course.
In "Shchuka" Smolyakov studied for 3 years, and then transferred to the State Institute of Theater Art. It happened after Andrew received an invitation from Konstantin Raikin, who put on the course of Oleg Tabakov in GITIS play about Mowgli. Not thinking long, he agreed. However, the rector of the school, having learned about it, gave Smolyakov an ultimatum: to continue to participate in the productions of "dubious" Tabakov or to study further at the university. Andrew really liked working in the theater workshop, so he left "Shchuku" and went to the course of Oleg Pavlovich, which the latter recruited at GITIS.
Career in the theater
Play on the stage Smolyakov began, while still a student. The actor's creative debut in this field were roles in the productions "Goodbye, Mowgli!" and "Two Arrows", which received many positive responses. But dearer than all the praise of critics for Andrei were the words of Oleg Tabakov, who highly appreciated the work of his student. The maestro called Smolyakov quite an accomplished artist, which will be gladly accepted by any theater. The last statement was especially important for Andrei: after graduation, he expected to get into the troupe "Tabakerka".
It was not immediately possible to realize the planned: in 1980, by decision of the first secretary of the Moscow State Committee of the CPSU Grishin Tabakov studio was closed. The reason for this was the accusation of ideologically incorrect reading of the image of Pavel Korchagin in one of the productions.
Not being able to work in the studio, Smolyakov for several years played on the stage of the capital's Gogol Drama Theater, then in "Satirikon" Konstantin Raikin. But as soon as "Tabakerku" was allowed to open, the actor went there.
