Vera Polozkova & Alexander Manotskov in Germany from 13 to 14 October 2026

Vera Polozkova and Alexander Manotskov will present their new album, *The Red Thread*, in Munich.

“We’ve been friends with the maestro for almost twenty years, and we wrote our first joint program in 2020, during the pandemic. Since then, each of our concerts—and there have been over a hundred of them—has been a dialogue about what troubles us, brings us joy, makes us laugh, and inspires us at that very moment. An attempt to mourn what’s lost forever, to celebrate what’s been given, to honor departed loved ones, to thank those close to us, and to create a space where complex feelings toward our bitter and merciless times are acknowledged and heard. 

These are a cappella songs for both voice and bass; they are children’s poems and letters; they are poems finished just before taking the stage, or published on LiveJournal half a lifetime ago. It’s an opportunity to share with the people dear to my heart in every city the awe and dread of facing everything life has to offer head-on, and not turning away from anything. And it’s always a tremendous joy, because every time I take the stage with the maestro, it’s a fabulous stroke of luck and a little bit of local immortality.” — Vera Polozkova.
