Liya Akhedzhakova in Germany. The play "Vedi svoi plug po kostjam mertvezov" (ru)

The play "Vedi svoi plug po kostjam mertvezov" (ru) is based on the novel by Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk, a Nobel laureate in literature. At first glance we see a mystical detective about mysterious murders in a Polish village, a kind of forest noir. But if we look closely, we will see a lush artistic bouquet of poignant poetry, caustic satire, and subtle psychological observations.

The play "Vedi svoi plug po kostjam mertvezov" (ru) is based on the novel by Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk, a Nobel laureate in literature. At first glance we see a mystical detective about mysterious murders in a Polish village, a kind of forest noir. But if you look closely, we will see a lush artistic bouquet, which includes poignant poetry, and caustic satire, and subtle psychological observations.

At the center of the narrative is the oddball Yanina Dusheiko, single-handedly opposing the injustice and cruelty of our world; an amazing heroine, as if specially created for Liya Akhedzhakova. Liya Medzhidovna wittily and boldly embodies on stage the story of a retired teacher who is trying to unravel a series of murders while helping her friends, who are just as strange as she is.

Actress and singer Musya Totibadze plays the role of "alter ego" of Mrs. Dusheiko in this performance, singing songs to William Blake's poems. According to the plot, the main character adores this poet, and it is a line from his work that the novel and the play are named after. Actor Alexander Feklistov is also involved in the production.

A fascinating journey awaits you: mysterious forest creatures, live music, a string of recognizable human types. The production "Vedi svoi plug po kostjam mertvezov" (ru) speaks about the most important thing: the responsibility of man before the world and the fragility of life.
