APPARATSCHIK is a legendary Berlin band, founded more than 35 years ago and has become one of the brightest and most recognizable live projects of the European club and festival scene. Since its emergence, the band has been developing its own musical language, combining Eastern European roots with modern dance and club culture.
APPARATSCHIK work across genre boundaries. Their music is rhythmic, ironic and always focused on direct live contact with the audience. Balalaika, accordion, drums and expressive vocals form a dense, energetic sound, equally energizing both in clubs and at large festival venues.
APPARATSCHIK band has formed a distinctive style, in which folklore motifs are organically intertwined with ska, polka and punk energy. This is not reconstruction and not stylization, but live, modern musical culture - genre free, sharp, ironic and extremely honest.
