Batschkapp is a legendary music club and concert hall in Frankfurt am Main. Since its opening in 1976, Batschkapp has become one of the most significant and historic live music venues in the city, attracting thousands of music lovers and music enthusiasts.

Hardly any other place in Frankfurt has so strongly shaped the cultural face of the city. And it's unlikely that anyone who grew up in the 70s, 80s or 90s doesn't have special memories associated with Kapp. Be it the first concert of your favorite band, the first party or the first kiss. What can we say about the cult status among artists. The list of bands and performers who performed here is impressive: Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Nirvana, Robbie Williams, R.E.M., Lenny Kravitz, Nena, Rio Reiser and many others.

Initially, the club arose among the Frankfurt left-wing sponti scene, and at first the club repeatedly had to fight for survival. Having established itself in the cultural milieu of the city, Batschkapp has undergone numerous changes over the decades. However, the essence of the club remained unchanged, which means that, despite some shortcomings in terms of capacity or technology, it was loved by its loyal regulars. That is why the news that in 2013 "Bachkapp" will close its old premises on Maybachstraße in Eschersheim and move to Seckbach caused strong indignation.

Today, Batschkapp is a spacious venue with excellent acoustics and different zoning for spectators. The large hall can accommodate up to 1,500 visitors. Thus, the site attracts a wide variety of bands and performers: from rock and metal to electronic music and hip-hop. The club is also famous for representing not only world stars, but also talented local artists.

In addition to concerts, Batschkapp also organizes parties and other cultural events.
