Event description

"Dog Heart" this fall on the theatrical stages of German cities!

The iconic play "Dog's Heart" directed by the famous Valery Zolotukhin - on the 100th anniversary of the writing of the satirical novel of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov. Valery Zolotukhin's production is rightfully recognized as one of the best. Grandiose premiere from the creators of the sensational play "The Master and Margarita" - Bulgakov Theatre, successfully held in German cities in 2019, 2021 and 2024!

"Dog's Heart"

Mikhail Bulgakov writes the story in the 20s of the last century, when the time of the heroes has passed, and there remained everyday life, which is the test for a person. This is the height of the construction of socialism, the eternal apartment issue, the devastation in the houses and, most importantly - in the heads.

The "Dog's Heart", as well as many other works of genius Bulgakov - a unique fate. The work was written back in 1925, but for more than 60 years was under a ban, and was distributed only in samizdat. The release of the film with E. Evstigneev in the title role, received universal acclaim and attracted not only new readers, but also aroused the interest of many prominent theater directors who offered their interpretation of the legendary Bulgakov text. Valery Zolotukhin's production is rightfully recognized as one of the best.

So, as a result of one of the most complicated experiments, Professor Philip Preobrazhensky makes a stunning discovery: after a pituitary gland transplant, his test dog Sharik turns into a human! The sensational news brings the world-famous professor recognition. However, the joy of the professor-experimenter is short-lived: the question that Sharik - later citizen Poligraf Poligrafych Sharikov - can become a "high psychic personality" is quickly called into question. Bulgakov's vivid satire is conveyed in the play with surprising grace and conviction.

The cast

In the character of Professor Preobrazhensky is the unsurpassed Igor Khalizov, theater and film actor, director, familiar to the audience from the films "The Return of Mukhtar", "On Different Shores", "Dissident", as well as from his brilliant role of Voland in the play "The Master and Margarita".

The role of Sharikov is played by the magnificent Leonid Grinberg, a theater and film actor and a star of Broadway musicals.

The role of Bormental is played by Boris Bogdanov, a graduate of VGIK (workshop of V. B. Ahadov), an actor of the Narva theater "Ilmarine", familiar to the audience from the films "What Men Talk About", "Anka from Moldovanka", "Balabol".

The image of Shvonder is embodied by Valentin Melnyk, a graduate of the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, who played in the popular projects "Return of Mukhtar", "Merry Quarter", "Supercops", "Defectives".

Also in the play are theater and film actors Elizaveta Lebed, Anastasia Grishchuk and Oleksiy Avramenko.
