The play "A flower from a magic glove" in Germany from 18 to 21 June 2025

A fairytale parable by the Lutsk writer Volodymyr Lys (a well-known Ukrainian journalist, novelist and playwright). The Flower from the Magic Glove" is based on legends from Transcarpathia.

The director of the play, Grigorij Syrotjuk, the artist Valentin Kachurowski and the actors convey the high ideals of human relationships to the youngest members of the audience: Generosity, kindness and self-sacrifice.

The events unfold quickly, energetically and dynamically. The Nightingale gives Grandmother and Grandfather a glove with a magic flower. And the hare solemnly fulfills their long-cherished dream of a son: Ivan, handsome, brave and wise, appears. The evil Burdygan tries to take possession of the flower by sending Zarapeja (Maritschka) to Ivan. Ivan falls in love. He fights against the Burdygan and his subjects, Razbyshaka and Zarizyaka. Marichka, on the other hand, tears her glowing heart out of her chest to save everyone and become free herself. The nightingale sings her magical song and Marichka comes to life. Evil is defeated.
