Singer, composer and producer Galina Ozeran, better known under the pseudonym Chikiss, originally from Vitebsk and living in Berlin, presents her new album Between Time and Laziness in the German capital. The album was written in St. Petersburg, Berlin and Athens, created in collaboration with Finnish multi-instrumentalist Jaakko Eino Kalevi and released on the Hamburg-based Bureau B label. In song form, Chikiss uncovers existential, psychological and philosophical themes ranging from motivation and self-doubt to the shadow of the Soviet past and collective empathy, giving it all a cinematic sound. The album balances between darkness and light, ultimately leaning towards hope and becoming Chikiss' most refined and elaborate vocal release to date.

Over the past two decades, Chikiss has followed her own artistic path through post-punk, minimal wave, experimental electronica and live improvisation, building an impressive catalog of emotional and innovative music. She has numerous full-length albums, EPs, mixtapes and collaborations with artists such as Dorit Chrysler, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Eva Geist, Thomas Azier, Die Wilde Jagd, Bad Hammer, Plattenbau, Barbara Morgenstern, Ensemble Economique (duo Video Salon), Sveta Ben, Mustelide (duo Machineries), Dima Pantyushin and many others. Approaching creativity intuitively, Chikiss becomes a conduit of both his personal experience and the storms of the outside world.

On this special evening at the Ballhaus Prinzenallee theater space, she will be joined on stage by Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Die Wilde Jagd, Saeko Killy, Sveta Ben, Mustelide and other friends to create an unforgettable show - vibrant, full of collaborations between outstanding artists and experiences for all in attendance.
