Dmitry Volkanov, better known by his stage name Volkanov, was born on July 6, 2001 in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. His way to the big stage once began with participation in the famous TV project "X-Factor", and today he is already known as a solo singer, musician and composer.

Family and the first musical steps of Dmitry

As a performer Volkanov first announced himself at the age of 17. It is known that his love for music was largely promoted by his grandfather Dmitry Dmitrievich, who was a musician himself.

After graduating from school, the future vocalist entered the Kiev University of Culture. Here he studied in the specialty "artist-vocalist of the pop genre".

X-Factor career Volkanov: the path to a professional singer

On the show "X-Factor" Dima came in the 9th season, becoming its youngest participant. He was able, after participating in the qualifying round, to go further and got into the team of coach Andrei Danilko - an artist, in the image of Verka Serdyuchka.

At the casting Dmitry performed with the song "Gray Night" by the group "Laskovy May", which was a very risky choice, but managed to reach the superfinal. He lost, but Danilko invited him to work in his band.

Dmitry Volkanov spent a total of 4 years in Verka Serdyuchka's band, performing as a backing vocalist and dancer in the image of a "bunny". This helped him gain valuable experience and start to realize his long-standing dream of becoming a singer.

A new stage of career: solo performances

Volkanov's creative biography as a solo artist began in 2022, when the first single was recorded. Before that, the future performer repeatedly showed his author's songs to mentor Andrey Danilko and received support.

The debut composition of the singer was the song "Namalyuyu". It was liked by listeners and quickly gained popularity due to sincerity and melody.

Genres and musical experiments: pop, chanson, collaborations

In 2023, Dmitry released several more singles, such as "Narechena" and "Tebe znaishov", experimenting with genres (such as chanson). He has a few collaborations with other artists, such as "Do dantsyu" with Pauchek and "Vsі zhinki vidmi" with SoloHa.

Volkanov is currently performing concerts all over Ukraine. In spring 2025 he visited Pereyaslav, Truskavets, Strii and many other cities as part of his concert tour. He appreciates live contact with the audience.

During his career Volkanov has already managed to record quite a few real hits. Among them - "Tulips", "Charivniy Son", "Chomu samye ti", "I will no longer be" and others.

According to the artist, his music is aimed at all people, he does not divide fans by income level, profession or education.
