Sergey Detkov

Serhiy Detkov is a Ukrainian standup comedian who became very popular thanks to his appearances in the shows Open Mic and Stand Up on TNT.

Childhood and youth of the comedian

The future comedian was born in Zaporozhye. Since childhood, he has no forearm of the left hand. However, this did not prevent him from graduating from school and getting a higher education.

Having a diploma of an electrical engineer, the guy did not work in his specialty. However, to connect his life with humor or creativity Sergei Detkov also at first was not going to.

It happened somehow by itself. Becoming a student, Detkov began to play in KVN. He liked to write jokes and monologues, to work in a team with other members of the "Zaporizhzhya team". However, having gained experience, the guy seriously thought about solo performances. He wanted to be responsible for his success or failure.

Creative activity of the humorist

The first project on television, in which Sergei Detkov decided to participate, was the humor show "Ridiculous Comedian". One of the judges of the program at that time was Vladimir Zelensky. The young comedian managed to make him smile and earn 1000 UAH, but not more than that. He could not continue his performance, he simply ran out of jokes.

But Detkov did not become particularly discouraged. He decided to concentrate on standup and began to improve his skills, performing in clubs in Zaporozhye, Odessa and Kiev. Three years later he returned to the show "Ridiculous Comedian" and became the winner of the main prize.

Sergey, inspired by the success, decided to conquer the Russian public. The first step to success was his participation in the program "Open Microphone". Detkov got into the team of Slava Komisarenko. Win the contest he failed to win, but Sergei was delighted by the very thought that all this is happening in his life!

On the budding promising comedian drew the attention of many. He was remembered by the audience for the lack of an arm, subtle irony and the courage with which he joked about himself, his own injury and other problems. For Sergei there are no forbidden topics. He speaks equally freely about intimate relationships, social and political life, health, religion and death. At the same time, the jokes, the author of which he is, are always appropriate, because the comedian is able to easily bypass dangerous nuances.

His performances in the program "Open Microphone" were remembered by his colleagues. Soon Ruslan Bely invited Detkov to Stand Up on TNT - one of the most popular comedy shows in the entire post-Soviet space. Speaking in it became a turning point in the creative biography of Sergei Detkov. It was followed by participation in the show "What Happened Next", "Blitz-Crick", "Who is the comedian here?".

Black streak in life

In 2020, the comedian unexpectedly for everyone left theChDB project and went to Ukraine. He appeared there in the spring of the following year, but already as a guest. During the broadcast, the young man told about his drug addiction. He understood what threatens him with such frankness, but felt that his story could become an instructive example for others.

Personal life of a comedian

Sergei is accustomed to answering questions about his physical defect. He always guffaws, explaining that his hand was bitten off by a shark, or that he became a victim of careless handling of a sawmill. His personal life Sergei Detkov also willingly comments in monologues. He easily talks about loneliness, the absence of a wife or a favorite girl. And does not react in any way to articles in the yellow press, which attribute to him novels with this or that representative of the fair sex.
