“The Village of Gadyukino” has long been part of the cultural lexicon—a metaphor for a country where absurdity is sometimes more accurate than any political commentary.

On July 23 in Berlin, Viktor Shenderovich will perform a program featuring new and old pieces—including some rarely heard on stage. Once again, it will be a conversation about his native “village”: funny, scary, absurd, and surprisingly resilient.

The performance will be followed by an open Q&A session with the audience: questions, answers, and direct conversation.

The evening will conclude with an autograph session and a presentation of Viktor Shenderovich’s new books.
