KOVACS in Germany from 26 to 27 February 2027

With her unmistakable voice, her dark soul aesthetic, and a new musical concept, KOVACS returns to Germany in 2027 for a select series of concerts. The Dutch singer will present new music and a new live show that blends her signature sound with fresh electronic influences.

Sharon Kovacs is one of Europe’s most extraordinary voices. Her deep, smoky voice, her intense stage presence, and her distinctive style—blending soul, jazz, pop, and cinematic melancholy—have earned her an international fan base.

Inspired by music legends such as Etta James, Tina Turner, Betty Davis, and Amy Winehouse, as well as Shirley Bassey and Portishead, KOVACS developed her very own musical signature early on: powerful, emotional, mysterious, and full of dark elegance.

She made her international breakthrough in 2014 with the EP “My Love.” The title track became a hit across Europe and racked up millions of streams. That same year, she performed at renowned festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival and Lowlands and received the NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Award for Best Talent.

With her debut album “Shades of Black,” KOVACS topped the Dutch album charts in 2015. This was followed by performances at international festivals such as Glastonbury, Sziget, and Rock Werchter. In 2018, she released her second album, “Cheap Smell,” which she created in collaboration with producer Liam Howe. She released her third album, “Child of Sin,” in 2023 on her own label, Wolf Recordings. It became the highest new entry on the Dutch album charts and was accompanied by a sold-out world tour.

With her new music, KOVACS is opening another exciting chapter. For the first time, electronic sounds take center stage in her work. Inspired by the energy of Berlin’s industrial techno scene, she blends her unmistakable soulful voice with old-school electro, futuristic soundscapes, and influences from electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk.

The result is a fascinating blend of nostalgia, a dark atmosphere, and modern electronic production—without losing the emotional intensity that has always defined KOVACS.
