Kaleo in Germany. Payback Tour 26 November 2024

The band from Reykjavík, consisting of JJ Julius Son (vocals, guitar, piano), Rubin Pollock (lead guitar), Daniel Kristjansson (bass) and David Antonsson (drums), achieved worldwide fame in 2016 with their platinum album "A/B". The single "Way Down We Go" went double platinum, "All The Pretty Girls" went gold and "No Good" won a GRAMMY® Award in the "Best Rock Performance" category. With their second album "Surface Sounds" (2021), Kaleo continued this success and reached the top 6 of the AAA charts with "I Want More" and "Break My Baby". To date, they have achieved more than 4 billion streams worldwide and received 60 international awards.

The Icelandic band's music is also well received in pop culture, with numerous dubbed versions in films and TV series such as Marvel movies, Grey's Anatomy and Riverdale. Their appearances on shows such as Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Good Morning America have further raised their profile. With sold-out headline tours on several continents and impressive festival appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, Kaleo have established themselves as a live force of nature to rival the Rolling Stones.

Their musical diversity and emotional range is also evident in their single 'Lonely Cowboy', released in 2024, where delicate fingerpicking underlines the cinematic lyricism. The track is a proud homage to Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Kaleo plan to continue releasing new music and will be touring the world from June. As part of their "Packback Tour 2024", the Icelanders will also make a stop in Germany and play concerts in Munich (26.11.), Hamburg (02.12.) and Berlin (05.12.).
