Historical standup "Ingenious Inventions from Berlin" 26 September 2026

Let's dive into the history of inventions from Berlin!
After all, this is where the following were invented: the hair dryer, the SOS signal, the thermos, the folding umbrella, instant soup, earplugs, the computer, the movie, the cardiac catheter, rhinoplasty, the seamless condom, the A4 paper size, and the moonshine still.

“It’s best to dry your hair in the sun. However, where this isn’t possible, it’s recommended to purchase an electric hair dryer.” A 1930 encyclopedia stated that a hair dryer could be used not only for medical purposes but also for “skin diseases, neuralgia, muscular rheumatism, etc.” "with a treatment duration of 10 to 20 minutes" is also suitable for drying hair after washing.
