The Best of Dobranotch’s 25 Years
The klezmer ensemble “Dobranotch” was founded in 1998 in France and has been based in Germany since 2023. Over the past 25 years, the ensemble has toured more than twenty countries around the world and released ten albums. From the very beginning, “Dobranotch” has dedicated itself to preserving and promoting Jewish music and culture. Their repertoire includes Jewish songs in Russian, Yiddish, and Hebrew, as well as Ashkenazi “freylekh” and Hasidic “nigunim.”
“Dobranotch” has performed at prestigious Jewish cultural festivals, including the International Klezmer Festival in Fürth (Germany), the Jewish Culture Festival in Kraków (Poland), and the “Ashkenaz” Festival (Canada). The group has collaborated with leading figures in the klezmer scene, such as Frank London and Lorin Sklumberg (“The Klezmatics,” Grammy Award winners), Michael Alpert, David Krakauer, Psoy Korolenko, and many others.
Dobranotch’s concerts are high-energy events where the audience, together with the charismatic lead singer Mitya Khramtsov, enjoys Jewish circle dances and sings along to the most popular songs in Yiddish.
