KLEZMER BAND "DOBRANOTCH"

Songs in Yiddish, Russian & Hebrew, dance and interaction with the audience!

The klezmer ensemble from St. Petersburg Dobranotch was founded in France in 1998 and has been based in Germany since 2023. Over the course of its 25-year history, the group has toured more than twenty countries around the world and recorded ten albums. All these years, Dobranotch has played and popularized Jewish music and Jewish culture. The group's repertoire includes Jewish songs in Russian, Yiddish and Hebrew, Ashkenazi freyllakhs and Hasidic nigunim.

Dobranotch has performed at major festivals of Jewish culture: International Klezmer Festival Fürth (Germany), Festiwal Kultury Żydowskiej (Krakow, Poland), Ashkenaz Festival (Canada) and worked with stars of the klezmer scene such as Frank London and Lorin Sklamberg (The Klezmatics, Grammy award winners), Michael Alpert, David Krakauer, Psoy Korolenko and many others.


Dobranotch are winners of prestigious awards in the field of world music: Eiserner Ewersteiner - Special Prize 2018 at the Folk Herbst Festival Plauen, Deutschland Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik - Best Folk and Singer / Songwriters Album 2019, Russian World Music Awards - Best Ethnic Project of the Year 2019
