Event description

Alexander Zaloopin is a masked statement singer and performer who emerged in the mid-2000s as a provocative response to the dominance of prison chanson culture in Russia. By subverting its narrative form and taboos through irony and theatricality, he developed his own radical take on the genre, often described as “queer chanson.” His 2009 album Sweet and Nasty became a key milestone, combining chanson storytelling with punk attitude and genre-crossing experimentation. Known for his brutal, hoarse voice and extravagant costumes, Zaloopin blends post-punk, breakbeat, dub, witch house, IDM, minimal wave, and house into a distinctive artistic language. Fans call him “Maestro”, praising his songs for communicating tolerance and offering emotional release.

Uvazhaemiy is the solo experimental music project of Vitalii Zimin, a Berlin-based musician and founder of the independent label Crunch Tapes (also known for projects such as Pivnoy Cowboy and several other bands). The project blends sharp irony with raw emotional honesty. Built around distorted guitars, funky beats, minimal electronics, and intentionally theatrical, absurdist vocals that shift between styles, Uvazhaemiy plays with contrast: irony and sincerity, simplicity and tension, humor and discomfort. Sonically, it moves freely across genres — from naive electropop to happy hardcore — embracing a playful, multi-genre approach without losing its emotional edge.
