Alexander Vasiliev is a world-renowned fashion historian, collector, theater artist, scenographer, author of more than 30 books, psychoanalyst, lecturer, former host of one of the most highly rated TV programs "Fashion Verdict".

"Secrets of Fashion Houses" is a story about how the great couturiers created fashion and what is happening in it now. The fates of Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Gianni Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and others are connected with the fate of the era, the atmosphere of which they created in their ateliers. They were first and foremost people of art, and only then - merchants. And what is happening now? On the basis of what laws and trends, what currents and what money the modern fashion industry exists? What is behind the intrigues and myths surrounding the names of great fashion designers? And why do the great ones become and remain great?
