Taisiya Povalij is a Ukrainian singer who achieved incredible success thanks to her powerful vocals and rare timbre. She was called "the golden voice of Ukraine" and the pride of the country. Compositions of the artist for a long time were fixed on the leading positions of hit parades, concerts gathered full houses, tour tours covered not only neighboring countries, but also far abroad. Taisia won many contests, received dozens of awards. But today she does not perform in Ukraine. Only the Russian stage remains open.
Childhood and early years
Taisia's maiden name is Gryanivets. She was born on December 10, 1964 in the tiny village of Shamrayevka near Kiev. Her parents were ordinary rural laborers. But it is difficult to call them far from creativity - they both sang beautifully. Therefore, the whole childhood of the future singer passed in a musical atmosphere.
When the girl was 3 years old, they moved to Bila Tserkva. At five she already knew for sure that she would become a great singer, at six she already went on a small but still tour. It was an away concert of the local ensemble, in which Taya sang. Then the crumb received her first fee, which she spent on gifts for her mother.
When Taya went to school, teachers immediately noticed her talent and sent her to the local philharmonic society. With such vocal data, she was soon assigned to the place of the soloist of the choir. Povaliy's idols at that time were Edita Piekha, Sofia Rotaru, Lyudmila Senchina. Their records in Taisia's room did not stop.
But at the same time in the house did not subside and scandals - her father was addicted to alcohol. Often raised his hand on his wife. Taisia suffered greatly from this and supported her mother in every possible way. And the 13-year-old girl managed to persuade her parents to divorce.
Having completed 8 classes, the future singer went to Kiev to continue her education. She managed to immediately enroll in the music school named after Glier. She was enrolled in the conducting and choral department, but at the same time studied academic vocal. By the end of her studies, she could perfectly perform many classical arias from operettas and romances.
Professional career
After receiving a diploma, Povaliy got a job in the capital's music hall. First she performed as part of a vocal group, a little later she gave solo concerts. On this stage the girl gained tremendous experience, improved her voice, learned how to behave in front of an audience, learned what is touring. She could give several concerts a day, and each one was brilliant.
In the early 90's Taisiya took part in many competitions and festivals. At the same time, the collection of her achievements was actively replenished. The first significant victories were: gold at the contest of the USSR State TV and Radio "New Names", grand prize at the "Slavic Bazaar", victory at the vocal competition named after V. Ivasyuk, the title of "Best Musician of the Year" at the festival "New Stars of the Old Year". An important event was the shooting in "Blue Fire".
When Igor Likhuta appeared next to her, Povaliy's life changed dramatically. In addition to becoming the main companion of her life, he also brought Taisia to a new level. Igor held the position of producer, composer, manager, costumer, sound engineer and skillfully performed any work, just to get her disposition. And when the singer realized that this is love, they formed a successful tandem, which gave both unprecedented fame.
Taisia Povaliy began to be invited to large-scale concerts and festivals. Her songs the public sang with glee. And only in 1995 the performer released her debut album. It was followed by a couple of clips. Going on radio and television screens brought the singer in 1996 the title of "Honored Artist of Ukraine", and a year later - "People's".
Since then Taisiya has been constantly keeping afloat, regularly pleasing fans with new hits. Duets with Nikolai Baskov, Joseph Kobzon, Stas Mikhailov were very fruitful: she released several joint albums, and also took an honorable place on the Russian stage. Politics in the life of Povalii
In 2012, the successful media personality opened a new sphere for herself - she ran for deputy from the Party of Regions and passed to the Verkhovna Rada. For six months she was an advisor to former President Viktor Yanukovych. During this period, the newly minted deputy managed to submit a single request, which later became quite scandalous. It was a petition to reconstruct the road to the village where the artist lived. The next failed political act was the case of Sergei Vlasenko, in which Taisia Nikolaevna was involved.
Finally, Povaliy lost the favor and love of the Ukrainian public in 2014. At the height of the bloodshed on the Maidan, she gave a concert in the Kremlin, congratulated the Crimeans on the Independence Day of the Russian Federation. This could not forgive her neither colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada, nor even avid fans. She was stripped of all her titles, began to disrupt concerts and was completely crossed off the list of "Pride of the country". Despite this, she still lives in Ukraine, although she does not conduct any creative activity there.
Personal life
From an early age, her mother told Taisia that "first a career, and then boys." But breaking out of the parental home, she allowed herself to disobey. Being a student at the college, she married composer and arranger Vladimir Povaliy. Their marriage lasted 11 years. The woman gave birth to a son Denis, who, having grown up, followed in his mother's footsteps and has already achieved a lot in his singing career.
The second husband and real life companion is Igor Likhuta. He long sought her attention, first was a producer, and only then became a lover. Their union lasts to this day. They are together engaged in creativity and live soul to soul. Common children they do not have, so they can fully devote themselves to their favorite business.
