Mikhail Boyarsky is a "living legend" of our time. He was the favorite artist of all Soviet women in the 70s, and remains the idol of the current generation. The man whose voice is easily recognizable from a million, and whose acting is an example for inheritance to students of theatrical universities, in his almost 70 years has a fascinating biography and continues to surprise and delight us. He can be seen in contemporary movies and heard on the radio. He is active in civic activities and participates in the political life of the country. "A talented person is talented in everything," and Mikhail Sergeyevich is a vivid confirmation of this.
Early years and family
The Boyarsky dynasty has a rich history. Grandfather was an archpriest and rector of the church, grandmother - a hereditary noblewoman, a representative of high intellectuals and Christian culture. Michael's parents were still young enough to choose an acting path. But after the birth of the child Ekaterina Milentieva left the stage, giving herself completely to the upbringing of children. Their family was often seen in museums, theaters. Misha from childhood instilled a love of books and music. And he regularly got into street fights, was ready for any adventure, always looking for adventure.
At the age of 7, he began to attend music school, piano class. His parents dreamed that he would become a famous musician, because he was a very capable student. But life took him a different way, and after a while he ended up in the theater school.
Despite the fact that Michael's father and mother were quite famous actors, they did not help and promote him. And there was no need. Such a charismatic, bright, fiery and capable student in the university noticed at once. This is where his new life stage began.
Theatrical activity
Leonid Makariev - the most talented playwright and actor - became Boyarsky's mentor. He shared his experience and knowledge, which he gained all his theatrical life. And Michael, like a sponge, absorbed all the best and honed his own skills. After graduation, he was accepted into the Lensovet Theater.
The first insignificant role was in the cast of the play "Crime and Punishment". But the real popularity came after the musical "The Troubadour and His Friends", where he played the main role. The novice actor was noticed and began to be recognized. Immediately there were new proposals.
Fatal was the meeting with Alice Freindlich, with whom they created a fantastic duet in the production of "Dulcinea of Tobos". Boyarsky's game was recognized as brilliant. Temperamental, plastic and musical, he gathered full halls. He was given a standing ovation and showered with flowers. Mikhail Sergeevich skillfully played brave and adventurers, heroes and swindlers. For him there were no impossible tasks - boundless talent conquered the masses at the speed of light.
Among the most famous works of the actor:
- "The Snow Queen";
- "Interview in Buenos Aires";
- "Hurry up and do good."
- "Grand Piano on the High Seas."
In 1986, some misunderstandings arose in his corpse, and Michael left it. But the love for the theater so deeply settled in the heart that it was impossible to imagine his life without it. Having great popularity, talent and experience, he soon created and headed the theater "Benefis". It was there that the most sensational Soviet play "Intimate Life" was staged, which won a prize at the international festival "Winter Avignon". Moreover, this production still gathers full houses today.
Mikhail's favorite brainchild, "Benefis", existed until 2007, until the theater did not take away the premises. And 2 years later Boyarsky again returned to the stage of the Lensoviet Theater in new productions "The Threepenny Opera", "The Man and the Gentleman" and "Mixed Feelings.
Cinema in the artist's life
With the development of cinematography, Mikhail Boyarsky could not go unnoticed. His fairy game in the theater was simply obliged to go to the wide screen. It is worth noting that in the movie he became no less successful than on stage. The first serious role he got back in 1971 in the Moldovan movie "Bridges". It was a good experience, but the participation did not bring him much fame. In 1974, he starred in the musical comedy "Straw Hat". Charismatic Italian tenor Ninardi, played by Michael, fell in love with everyone at first sight. A year later came another legendary movie with Boyarsky - "Eldest Son". The picture occupied a special niche in the golden fund of Russian cinematography, it was seen by millions.
"Dog in the Hay", "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", "Gardemarines, go!", "Man of Capuchin Boulevard", "Prisoner of the Castle of If" - sensational pictures where Mikhail performed the main roles. These movies are known to everyone, loved by millions, revisited several times. Stunning game Boyarsky made him a real idol, star and sex symbol of the USSR. His monologues are parsed into quotes, songs know by heart all generations, young actors copy gestures and manners. Thanks to these tapes, the professional artist became a true legend.
In the period of 80-90-ies "for Boyarsky" directors lined up in a queue. For a year he starred in 3-5 films. His career was on the rise, and he every time gave the audience an incredible pleasure, appearing on the screens. After 1990, the artist became less likely to star in new films. But not because there were no offers. Directors still flooded him with invitations, he just began to carefully study the roles, sift out everything that he is not hooked. Today he continues his career, choosing highbrow pictures that claim the title of "high cinema".
Musical career
Mikhail Boyarsky never stops at what he has achieved. Having taken the maximum from the cinematography, he actively engaged in music, which has been his favorite since childhood. A unique voice with a trademark hoarseness became his business card. "Thank you, dear!", "Green-Eyed Taxi", "Everything will pass", "City Flowers" - these hits are still sounding. And, perhaps, will forever remain in the musical archive of the country. Recognizable from the first note timbre gathers full concert halls even today. People always ask to perform "Lanfren-lanfra", "Up!" and other hits from their favorite movies.
Hear the same voice in many movies and cartoons - from 1975 to the present day.
Personal life
Larissa Luppian is a woman who conquered Mikhail's heart in his youth. Seeing her on the stage of the Lensovet Theater, he realized: this is his future wife, the only one with whom he will spend his whole life. And so it happened. And although the girl did not fall in love with Boyarsky at first sight, his charisma, temperament, generosity and wit did not allow you to resist him. Huddling in a modest room, which provided Larissa theater, they were happy. A few years later, the wedding date was set, and they were married, began to dream of children. And in 1980, little Seryozha was born, and five years later - Elizabeth. Michael's wife devoted herself to the family. In childhood, Sergei Boyarsky was often on the movie sets, he even managed to play in two films. Everyone was sure that he would continue the parental dynasty. But he became a member of the State Duma, a businessman. And the acting path unexpectedly chose Elizabeth. And very successful in this.
Today, Mikhail Sergeevich Boyarsky continues to star in films, plays in the theater, performs at concerts and festivals. Despite his age, the difficulties of theater life and not the best state of health, he always keeps himself in tone. He is an avid fan of the Zenit soccer team. He is actively engaged in political and civic activities (he has been the head of the Movement for the Rights of Smokers since April 2013).
