Screening of S. Loznitsa's film "Two Prosecutors" (2025) from 17 to 29 October 2025

For the first time in Germany, "Two Prosecutors" (2025) is a historical drama by Sergei Loznitsa, based on a novel by Georgy Demidov.

The action unfolds in 1937, at the height of Stalinist repression: a young prosecutor Alexander Kornev, played by Alexander Kuznetsov, is trying to achieve justice in the case of the unjustly convicted, but soon finds himself drawn into a deadly system of fear, corruption and denunciations.

The movie also played Alexander Filippenko and Anatoly White. The world premiere of the film took place on May 14, 2025 in the main competition program of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where the film was awarded the Prix François Chalet.
