Event description

Art & Piano - An immersive performance of music, painting and video.
Live piano, painting & video art - an emotional journey through exile, reflection and new beginnings

Artists

  • Alexander Glinkin - Painting & visual concept
  • Grégory Privat (Paris, France) - piano & improvisation
  • Martin Kohlmann - Video & Animation

Art & Piano is an interdisciplinary live performance that combines three art forms: Painting, piano music and video art.

The Ukrainian painter Alexander Glinkin, the French-Caribbean jazz pianist Grégory Privat, who lives in Paris, and the video artist Martin Kohlmann create an immersive stage experience in which images, sound and animation enter into a lively dialog.

Based on Glinkin's original oil paintings and graphics, which reflect the themes of exile, memory, inner transformation and hope, dynamic visual narratives are created through video projections. Grégory Privat's improvised piano compositions - traveling live from Paris - react to the images in real time and deepen their emotional impact.

The performance is divided into several musical-visual chapters (Exile - Reflection - New Life) and deliberately differs from a classical concert or a traditional exhibition.

After the performance, visitors have the opportunity to meet the artists in person and view the original works in the foyer.
