Alexander Filippenko in Munich. Literary concert "Where is the exit? Where is the road?" 15 May 2026

On May 15, the great actor Alexander Filippenko will perform in Munich for the first time.

Filippenko has long been called one of the best interpreters of the literary word on stage. His readings have long become a separate theatrical genre. He does not just recite texts, but re-lives and reinterprets them, turning prose and poetry into a living dramatic story.

In the program of the evening, poems and excerpts from great works are intertwined with the actor's memories of people and the era. Alexander Georgievich will talk about working with outstanding directors and actors, about shooting two versions of "The Master and Margarita", about meetings with Alexei German, Sergei Yursky, Sergei Loznitsa and others.

This evening will feature excerpts from Nikolai Gogol's Dead Souls, works by Mikhail Zoshchenko ("Product Quality", "Steamboat"), Boris Pasternak ("The Christmas Star"), Sergei Dovlatov ("The Reserve"), as well as poems by Yuri Levitansky, Semyon Kirsanov and Zhenya Berkovich.
