Makovetsky decided not to give up. He applied to the Shchukinsky school, passed the selection and was enrolled in the course of Alla Kazanskaya, where he studied until 1980.
Theater career
Upon graduation, the newly minted actor got into the Vakhtangov Theater, where he serves to this day. His debut on the big stage for him was the role of Karp Poluda in the production of "Old Russian vaudevilles". The image of a simple-minded provincial director, madly in love with the theater, immediately attracted the attention of the audience and the press. Nevertheless, the actor for a long time still went on stage only in episodes and extras.
