Mikhail Shats

Mikhail Shats is a versatile personality. By profession he is an anesthesiologist-reanimatologist, by state of mind he is a humorist and KVN player, by occupation he is a showman, TV presenter, producer, theater and film actor. Having become famous in the late 1990s, he is still engaged in creative activity, jokingly calling himself the oldest, "vintage" stand-up comedian.

Childhood and youth of Mikhail Shats

Mikhail was born in Leningrad, in a family of intellectuals. His father was an Air Force officer, his mother was a pediatrician.

Little Misha grew up an unproblematic child. He went to school, raced with the boys ball at the stadium, dreamed of becoming a coach of Zenit, for which he still supports today. Having received his certificate, Mikhail entered the First Leningrad Medical Institute. There he also completed his residency, after which he worked as an anesthesiologist and resuscitator for six years.

While still studying at the university, the young man began to play in KVN: first in the team of the institute, later as a member of the CIS team.

In the mid-90s, Mikhail moved to Moscow and began looking for a new job. In his spare time, together with his KVN colleagues, he developed the idea of a new comedy show - "OSP-studio".

The first steps in his career, working on TV

This program became one of the most successful projects in the creative biography of Mikhail Shats. The show was aired from 1996 to 2004, first on TV-6, then on RTR and STS. Mikhail played the main roles in numerous parodies of popular TV programs and songs, and later became the host and director of the project. When in the bowels of the "OSP-studio" began to emerge new projects, Shats took a very active part in them. His creative portfolio was enriched with roles in the humorous television series "33 square meters", the film "Sister-3", variety program "Kabachok OSP-stulya". Not without Michael and the musical project "O. С. Song."

After the "OSP-studio" was closed, Shats remained to work on the STS channel. Together with his wife Tatiana Lazareva, he began to host the author's program "Good Jokes". It was followed by other projects, including:

In 2012, the showman left STS, as the management did not want to extend the contract with him. On the creativity of Mikhail Shats this in no way affected. For some time he cooperated with the channels "Our Football", "Kitchen TV", then decided to try his hand at Internet projects. It was during this period that the showman became interested in the genre of standup comedy and began to perform as a comedian on the stages of Moscow clubs. In 2018, he gave his first solo concert.

A year later, the management of the STS channel offered Shats to return and become the host of the entertainment quiz "It was in the evening".

Participation in TV shows took a lot of time, but Mikhail had time to try himself and as an actor, and not once. In addition to the roles played during cooperation with the "OSP-studio", the track record of the artist added to the work in the series "My Fair Nanny", the movie "Chapaev-Chapaev", the comedy "Very Russian Detective". He was also engaged in the voicing of cartoons.

Personal life

Michael's personal life for a long time seemed established and quite happy. With his wife Tatiana Lazareva met during the game in KVN. At that time she was still married, although she lived with her son Stepan separately from her husband.

Their relationship began with friendship, but gradually grew into something more. The wedding of Mikhail and Tatiana took place in 1998. In marriage they had two daughters: Sophia and Antonina.

Having lived together for almost 20 years, Mikhail Shats and Tatiana Lazareva decided to part ways. The woman, taking the younger daughter, went to Spain. Mikhail and the older children remained to live in Moscow.

Although not often, but the spouses still continued to communicate. Wishing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of family life, they even went to Hungary, confirming this fact with numerous photos in social networks.

But in the summer of 2024, Tatiana posted a post on her page, in which she admitted that in their marriage was not all smooth, and confirmed that their divorce from Michael really took place. The comedian himself did not comment on this news in any way.

Mikhail Shats now

In 2022, Mikhail Shats, entered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the register of foreign agents, left Russia. He currently resides in Israel, but is going to move to the United States.

Now Mikhail Shats is actively engaged in standup. His solo concerts, with which the comedian performs in America and Europe, are popular with the public. The main topics for jokes - life in emigration and the difficulties that the status of a foreign agent imposes on him.

Despite all the problems and age (the comedian is 59 years old), Mikhail Shats is not going to end his career. He has a lot of ideas that he hopes to still realize.
