Leonid was born in Moscow in an intelligent creative family. His mother was a teacher, his father was a famous musician. At various times he was the vocalist of the VIA "Blue Guitars", worked as an administrator of several groups.

In his autobiography Leonid notes that his future was largely determined by the profession of his father, who was an authority and role model. Already from an early age, the boy was seriously interested in music, showing great patience and devoting a lot of time to learning scales and exercises on the piano. After the usual musical school, he continued his studies at a jazz school, and then there was an institute of culture.

Leonid Agutin's star path

While still a student, Agutin began to travel to concerts with the stars of the domestic pop music, anticipating their appearance on stage with his performances. When in 1992 his composition "Barefoot Boy" won at the festival in Yalta, and Leonid became the best among young performers in the Baltics, he decided that it was time to do his first album.

The disc, released in 1994, became a cornerstone in his creative biography and created a real sensation in the music world. Introducing elements of funk and latino into his compositions, Agutin created a genre that was unique at that time, which was liked even by the most egregious opponents of pop music. Virtually from every window sounded:

• "Hop-hey-la-la-la-lay."
• "Who Wouldn't Be Worth Waiting For."
• "The Voice of the Tall Grass."

These compositions made Leonid famous throughout the country. He became the winner in three categories of the popular award "Song of the Year": "Barefoot Boy" was named the best album, and Agutin - singer of the year. But the musician did not think to stop there. Already a year after the debut album, he was able to gather 2 full houses in "Olympiyskiy", although such an achievement at that time could be proud of not everyone.

The new disk called "Decameron" only strengthened the public's interest in the young performer, soon Leonid Agutin becomes the most sought-after artist of the time.

In the following years, he worked very actively in several directions at once: gave concerts, composed music, recorded a huge number of real hit singers, receiving for them a record number of "Golden Gramophones", and even released collections of poems. In his creative career, Leonid is not limited to only solo performances. At different times, he collaborated with Vladimir Presnyakov, the group "Otpetye shamniki", Angelica Varum, as well as with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola. Among other things, the singer participates in various entertainment shows, the most colorful of which is the TV project "Voice".

On July 6, 2018, the artist celebrated his anniversary, he turned 50 years old. It is worth saying that the musician looks excellent. In the personal life of the musician everything is great. He has long been happily married to singer Angelica Varum. The couple has a daughter Lisa, who lives in Miami. Continuing the family dynasty, she sings in an amateur group.

This is the third marriage of the famous artist. Agutin's first wife was Svetlana Belykh. Their family life did not last long, after 5 years the spouses parted. Leonid's new chosen one was ballerina Maria Vorobyova, with whom the singer was in a civil marriage. From this union, the musician has a daughter Polina. Currently, she lives in France, but often comes to her father in Moscow or in Miami. Agutin is happy: his children have found a common language, and none of his daughters feels deprived.
